Quality planned into every stage
Reliable power equipment starts with a defined specification, disciplined processes and evidence. SBM's quality and qualification framework is part of the project's development plan.
The qualification pathway
01 — Agree requirements
Define the customer specification, applicable standards, operating conditions and acceptance criteria.
02 — Review the design
Check electrical, thermal, dielectric and mechanical requirements before manufacturing.
03 — Control the process
Plan supplier evaluation, material traceability, inspections, calibrated measurement and documented corrective action.
04 — Verify and qualify
Complete the agreed routine, type and special tests, review results and follow the relevant customer qualification process.
Standards and customer requirements
The intended approach is to design and test against the applicable IEC or IEEE requirements and the customer's project specification. The exact standards, editions and test scope will be agreed for each product and market.
Standards shown describe the intended engineering framework. Certifications, laboratory accreditations and utility approvals will only be listed when achieved and verified.
What quality evidence should show
An agreed inspection and test plan; traceable material and process records; documented test results; and a clear route for reviewing non-conformities and acceptance.
