The roadmap sets out the project's planned product expansion and the readiness milestones required along the way. Timing is subject to engineering, approvals, qualification and implementation.
PHASE 1 โ Establish the foundation
132 / 230 / 380 kV power transformers
Planned design capacity of 132 units per year: 72 units at 132 kV, 48 at 230 kV and 12 at 380 kV. Establish manufacturing processes, workforce capability and the qualification pathway.
PHASE 2 โ Expand voltage capability
500 / 700 kV class
Planned expansion within the project site, subject to technology readiness, testing capability and market requirements.
PHASE 3 โ Broaden the equipment platform
GIS equipment
A future phase for gas-insulated switchgear production and integrated power equipment.
Readiness before scale
Engineering & site planning
Define the technical scope, facility needs and implementation requirements.
Technology & workforce
Transfer documented methods and develop trained manufacturing and engineering teams.
Prototype & qualification
Validate designs through the agreed test programme and customer qualification process.
Production readiness
Confirm processes, traceability, supplier readiness and delivery arrangements before commercial supply.
